Open a dashboard

To open an existing dashboard, click a .dashboard.json file in the Files sidebar. The dashboard loads with all its saved panels and begins receiving live data from a running RemotiveTopology.

Dashboard layout

The dashboard uses a grid layout where panels can be:

• Resized by dragging the bottom right corner
• Rearranged by dragging the panel header

Toolbar

The toolbar at the top of the dashboard provides:

• Compact - Automatically tries to remove any unused space in the dashboard by moving panels
• Save - Save the current layout and settings to the dashboard file
• Add Panel - Open the panel dropdown to add a new panel

Multiple tabs

A warning is displayed if RemotiveStudio detects that more than one dashboard is running. This is because you might run in to issues such as graphs not updating, playback controls not reacting, videos not playing and other unexpected things when running out of sockets.
