Add a panel
Click the Add Panel button in the dashboard toolbar to open the panel picker. Panels are grouped into two categories: charts and recordings.
Chart panels
Time series
Displays signal values over time as a line chart. You can add multiple signals to a single time series panel to compare them. Supports zooming, panning, and measurements. Hover over the panel icon in the top left of the panel for detailed instructions on how to perform each action.
Trace
Shows a live scrolling log of raw frame data as it arrives. Each row displays the timestamp, frame ID, frame name, and raw data bytes. Expanded rows show individual signal values within the frame.
Map
Plots geographic data on a map using latitude and longitude signals. Useful for tracking vehicle position from GPS data.
Frame distribution
Shows the distribution of received frames, ordered by frequency. Displays frame names, IDs, and message counts. Only one frame distribution panel is allowed per dashboard.
Recording panels
Open recording
Load a previously recorded session file for playback. Allows replaying historical data through the dashboard panels.
Video
Display a video file synchronized with the signal data timeline. Useful for correlating visual footage with recorded signal data. Videos are fetches from the recording session and must be set up accordingly.
Adding signals to a panel
After adding a panel, you might notice that some panel types require you to select specific signals/frames. Use the panel options menu or the signal selection button to choose which signals to display. The available signals come from the signal databases referenced in your running topology instance.
Panel interactions
Each panel has its own toolbar with contextual settings and actions. Click the button with three vertical dots to see what settings/actions each panel has to offer.
